I think we are now part of Phase 13. Up until yesterday we had lot 193L on the north side of Clark, but we got a phone call from Mattamy yesterday saying that there are some architectural changes and we have to choose a new lot.

Apparently there are 100+ lots that the numbers are changing and 9 had to actually choose new lots (We're one of the lucky 9)

We are now lot 242L on McNair Circle and we close Nov 2K5.

I don't think that there are new models, just new locations.

And I don't mind the new location, it was on our list for ones we wanted the first time. We just went with one without the premium.

Yesterday Mattamy gave us 4 choices; 2 had a 3K premium and the other 2 were half Millside half Lindbrook and they look funny to me. So we took the one closest to the Village Square. And as long as that doesnt turn into a hangout for punks then I'm happy.

Wow!! I'm really surprised to hear this! What was the problem with the other lots that 9 families had to change new lots? and was Mattamy giving you the option to get an upgraded lot and not pay the premium due to the inconvenience? That's really really strange....have your closing dates changed to be further out or are they still the same? I can only imagine how you must feel but I guess at the end of the day you will still have your house right?

There was supposed to be a corner house beside us and I guess that got deleted. They also moved some townhouses on that block as well. In my situation they could not put 2 Lindbrooks beside each other so our lot was pretty much history. I would assume that this happened to the 7 other lots (193R must be in the same boat) as well.

Mattamy wouldn't do squat about the inconvenience, and left me the following options; I can take one of the 4 lots they have, I can choose a new house, or I can walk away. But honestly we're probably better off where we are now. And it just means that I'll be looking even harder to get all of my upgrades done by contractors rather then give Mattamy any more of my money.

Our closing date moved ahead 3 months so that's a mini bonus as well because I don't have to move in the middle of winter.

Man, what a downer that news is. I can't believe Mattamy isn't compensating you for the disappointment in any way. Sorry to hear that guys.
