Ive actually put on a few pounds in the last week while working out more. I guess that's why they said don't weigh yourself too often, because my face is still slimming, thighs are much thinner and thus pants wont stay up. Stomach doesn't seem to be shrinking at the pace it used to but definitely feel the abs getting tighter and stronger.

If its specifically weight it may discourage some people when they hit that wall or gain a pound or two back, and feel the need to over-explain why. As a compulsive weight checker I know, I check after morning bathroom trip and sometime after dinner so I can compare it to similar times from previous days and then decide if I need to try and do more that night.

Good for you working out more! As I mentioned previously, people do not need to put their weight or do pounds lost. People can do whatever they are most comfortable with such as inches (measurements) or journalling food, etc.

I think doing it here is fine. Can we start a whole new section (I'm not sure what they're called)...where the "General" "Advertisements" etc sections are? Then we could have different threads within those? Or maybe do it in the sports and fitness section? I dunno! Just some ideas :)

Actually I just sent Rick a message asking if we could have another forum titled something around health and wellness and then we could post our waist management threads there. Will let you know what i hear back :)

I am in. But would you prefer doing it on facebook where we use real names?

Hi Zeeshan, I think most people are comfortable with doing it here with their username. However you could also start an additional one on FB too. I'd consider joining that one also if someone else initiates it.

Okay, Rick has asked me for a possible name and one sentence description of a new forum. Is this something we want to limit to weight loss or could our thread fit under a broader title such as "health and wellness"? What would our descriptor be?

Diet, Health, Fitness & Wellness
or
Health & Wellness

those two come to mind as good

Count me in too. I need some accountability for what I eat, and keeping on track! I've tried sparkpeople before for tracking food, eventually stop and it's too easy just to say, oh one more little bite won't hurt and next thing you know it's 10!

Any swimmers or cyclists out there? Been doing length swims on my own, and bike rides with Milton Cycle Network. Would be interested in an evening walking group as well - outdoors 'till the weather gets crappy, then indoors at the Sports Center Walking track (and rain days).
