Jessey, if you want please join our weekly weight loss thread and add this as your weekly goal. I agree about the 7 - 10 pm being my most vulnerable time for going off track. Let's promise each other to stick to the plan each night.

Is there an official sign up thread somewhere? I'd love to join. I'll be thinking of all of you when I'm fighting the sugar withdrawals this evening. That is a major goal....get rid of the sugar!

Jessey, look for the thread I started this morning called Weekly Weight Loss for Week of August 13th, just scroll down to find it.

My biggest challenge this week will probably be keeping track of my food intake and writing it down diligently but I am determined to do this by jotting down everything I eat on a piece of paper and sticking it on my fridge daily.

That is a good idea! I've just now hung a sheet of paper on my fridge and will write down absolutely everything I eat or drink this month. 2 slices Organic Sprouted 100% Whole Grain & Seed Bread with pure peanut butter and half a banana; black coffee and 24 oz water with 1tbsp 100% organic lemon juice. My downfall is between 7pm and 10pm....I crave sweets or carbs.

Along with tracking what you eat, you should track the time of consumption as well. I know you already stated 7-10pm was your downfall but there might be other times you aren't aware of, or you might subconsciously change the crave time if you are consciously aware of the 7-10pm time :)

I'm going to put 8 pm as my cutoff time for eating food this week.

It's the hubby. He can eat all day and snack all night and not gain an ounce. It is very hard to spend the evening 7-10pm with him. I really need to gain some will power. I'm not hungry....I just crave and I start to drool when I see the chocolate, chips or even sandwiches he has.

You need to do some mental imagery and relate it (your cravings) to something nasty. Luckily for me I have a nut allergy and am lactose intolerant so there are only certain things I can enjoy. My mouth also can't tolerate salty things as I get cankers so at least if I "have to" have that snack I can remind myself of what pain I will be in later if I have more than I should. I have also put up a "fat" pic of myself to remind myself of where I don't wanna go again.

Almost forgot...I came across this awesome 'iced' green tea powder. No brewing, just add water. It is made from whole Japanese Sencha green leaves that have been ground into a fine powder. It comes in different flavours. It is made by Stash and costs $3.49/box at Bulk Barn. There are no artificial ingredients in it.

My fitness pal is a free app that is great for tracking food. It gives a recommended number of daily calories and is easy to use. You can even scan the bar code of food items rather than search for them manually.

I'm loving this app! Add me if you're using it please! My user name is JenniferK802 :D

Another snack option for the evening is laughing cow cheese and melba toast. They have herb and garlic and onion flavour laughing cow cheese. One cube is all you need and a few melba toasts.

On weight watchers that is a cheap snack in terms of points.

When I was dealing with gestational diabetes a snack before bed was a must. It helps keep your blood sugar regulated. They recommended a protein and carb - so cheese and an apple, or cheese and crackers. I will sometimes have a yogurt.

Pita pizza is awesome. Love it.

Last night I made pasta, with diced tomatos, sausage and a ton of veggies - peppers, broccoli and zuchini so that is what I had for lunch!

Good points on keeping blood sugars level by eating a healthy snack as you suggest. I also love having 2 or 3 Stone Wheat thin crackers with thinly sliced tomatoes and cheddar - yummy.

Here is a typical day of what I have been eating for the past two weeks

Breakfast
2 egg whites
2 multigran toast
1 tsp of Almond butter

Snack:
1/2 can of tuna
2 rice cakes
1 tsp of almon butter

Lunch
3 servings of veggies
5 oz chicken, turkey or fish

Snack
1 scoop protein in water
1/2 cup cottage cheese
1 apple

Dinner
3 servings veggies
5 oz whitefish, chicken, turkey

Snack:
1 scoop protein in water

I've been able to stick to this pretty good over the last 2 weeks but its been pretty tough.

Good for you staying disciplined Abridgel. :)

Just finished eating two beef tacos for dinner and now reached my limit for caloric intake for the day.
The rest of the evening will be spent sipping water, I know I can do this, I know I can do this...

Add lime to your water...that liquid lime stuff is good! I'm not sure what it's called, but you know those little lemons that have lemons in them..same thing, but lime :) Tastes like watered down 7up :)

Thanks for reminding me that I've got a bunch of limes in my fridge...I am going to get them out right now!

I've been adding lemon juice, the only way I can tolerate the water for some weird reason. I buy the plastic lemon but I'll pick up the plastic lime next shopping trip and give it a go.

I actually bought a large bottle of it....it's beside the plastic limes :) It really helps...especially if the water is super cold :)
