Hey all,

Anyone know what the average price for crown moulding install should be per linear foot? Trying to figure out if I should pay someone, or just try it myself...

I got a cost of $3 per linear foot - don't know if that's bad or good!

Thanks,

Deep

Is it for 5" or 7" moulding? Even for 5" it is a pretty decent price. I am assuming it is mdf.

I'd say depending on the height of your ceilings. 9ft or 8ft floors should determine the thickness of crown moulding to be used.

Best price I have come across is 7.00 to 9.00 for the molding and install.

Please share. If the price is right, I may outsource this as it's a pretty time consuming thing!

I paid $4 linear ft supply and install for 7" tuscan 2 years ago. I can't for the life of me find their info. anymore.
I shared their contact info., with a few people here, Zeeshan Hamid and Samsvoc I think.

Maybe if they have my pm saved they can give the number out. They were 2 russian guys; did the work in one day and even after 2 years not a crack. You can't even tell where the joints are......just amazing work.

Yup - the tapings pretty good - couple of blemish spots, not bad overall.

Kiddan, I called the guys you used not once but twice. Both times I was disappointed. First call, the guy thought I was you but promised to call back next day, never did. I call back to setup an appointment and the guy never shows up. So I call 2 other companies, one shows up to quote the job. I give him the job and what a great job they did, super happy.
