Hey all,

Anyone know what the average price for crown moulding install should be per linear foot? Trying to figure out if I should pay someone, or just try it myself...

I got a cost of $3 per linear foot - don't know if that's bad or good!

Thanks,

Deep

Deep, I used Expert Crown Moulding and am very happy with their work. They're a father and son team. I looked at the big box stores for CM but it looks and feels cheap, very flimsy. For 5.25" X .75" Colonial crown, I was quoted approx. 4.25 per. lin. ft supplied and installed. Fairbank Lumber has good quality wood but then, you be doing the install yourself or have to hire someone to install anyway. The install was perfect and I couldn't be happier.

I found them to be quite pricey compared to another contractor, as I got them to come and quote me on 250 sq ft.

I got mine at $4 per linear sq ft installed. vs almost $6

If you have a stipple ceiling, is that an issue?
