when you can extend 4th line back out to JSP

Cedar Hedge to JSP can't happen, as the tracks are there...

Also, there's an entrance from Derry just west of there (across from Sauve) that will be opened once that land is developed. That will take a lot of the traffic from west of Cedar Hedge...

Makes sense about Cedar Hedge to JSP, but very interested to know more about Suave...

Is this going to connect north to Laurier? That works 100% for me if this is the case.

I'm guessing Elsworthy connecting Cedar Hedge to Trudeau and then Trudeau exit to JSP will be open this year with first release of Mattmy homes completed ?
This should take a lot of traffic away from new releases. Also there is the new Lauriel connection to Thompson.
If Sauve will connect Lauriel to Derry then we have more then enough exits and entrances to the neighbourhood.

I just saw from your signature that you're 1 month 1 week away.. Congratulations M4rtin... I am exactly 1 month and 1 week out as well!

That Elsworthy to Trudeau connection is PERFECT. Thanks for bringing that up to my attention!

Did you go Mattamy or TPH, or another builder?

Hi EWM ASN & M4rtin

Sauve St. will be extended north of Derry and swing west to connect with Miller and Costigan through other existing streets (see figure 3 near the end of the attached report).

http://www.milton.ca/MeetingDocuments/C ... Report.pdf

When the neighbouring subdivision is built that includes Sauve St. traffic lights will be installed at Sauve & Derry to control the traffic (yes they will be co-ordinated with other traffic lights along Derry).

The Town is still waiting for two other land owners at the northwest corner of Derry road and Cedar Hedge Road to submit their applications to complete the neighbourhood.

http://www.milton.ca/en/build/resources ... _Plans.pdf

You can find out more about any development plans by clicking on the blue neighbourhood names to find out about the proposals and the staff contact person.

http://www.milton.ca/en/build/resources ... oodMap.pdf

Valeri homes also has two ten storey apartment buildings that were approved in 2010 on the east side of Costigan Road south of Laurier which they will be coming back to council with some revisions later in the year. (see attached report and check out Figures 2 & 3 for road layout and site plan details).

You can also see more details at the builders sales offices in the area.

Colin Best
Local & regional councillor
Wards 2,3,4,5 (including the Tiffany and Crystal Homes area on the west side of Cedar Hedge Road).

You rock Colin.. I was definitely not expecting that level of detail, nor a response from you (let alone so quick).

Thank you for the information.

Without having to go through the PDFs in detail, would you have an idea of any ETA's for the "Suave" extension sir?

I was quite surprised and pleased with the stealth and quick opening of Laurier into Croft, which I used for the first time this past weekend (I have an unnatural craving for Osmows Grill).

I'm looking forward to this move in Milton, I had no idea council was this close to it's citizens... I've never experienced this.

Thanks again Colin!

Amin

Osmows is delish. Try their chicken shawarma on rice with fatouche on the side. Fakk me sideways, that stuff rocks.

P.S. it is spelled S A U V E not suave

Can I pretend I meant that I was being "suave"? :)

I have yet to eat at a proper competitor... I'm not even sure if one exists... Nice to finally "meet" ya NIT, I've been reading lots of your posts!

Between: Pita Nutso, Yummi's, Paramount, I can't seem to find any better than Osmows...

On a side note, are there any good Sammy places worth checking out in town?

I've got a hankering for a chicken salad/French chicken sandwich... & imo Tim Hortons has gone down hill.

Man wheres a deli when you need one!!

Hi EWM ASN

Sorry, no projection yet for when Sauve St. will be extended north of Derry as the builder has not made the next step in getting water and waste water allocation for the area or applied for rezoning. (see the white area east of #18 on the attached map) It might take a few years for all the approvals and construction.

http://www.milton.ca/en/build/resources ... _Plans.pdf

For other new residents in the Tiffany, Crystal and Mattamy Patterson area there is one proposed development you might not know about by Fieldgate Commercial (see attached).

http://fieldgatecommercial.com/properti ... now-pkwy-2

This 50 acre site is similar in size to the new Premium Outlet centre at Steeles and Trafalgar road, but as of today there has been no applications to the Town for rezoning and site plan approval.

At 146,000 square feet the large retail store at the south-east corner MIGHT be the mythical Costco or other large retailer that has been rumoured to be landing in Milton for the last 5 years.

Stay tuned to Milton Council happenings on the upcoming reports calender when applications and reports may be presented to committees and council for the next two months. This page is updated weekly depending on the council schedule.

Pita and Grill - blow's them out of the water...

Koozina (in the old Montfort location) is also quite good and the owner a good guy...

I like them both over Osmow's...
