Actually, if one is feeling hopeless, and fears they may harm themselves or others they can call COAST Halton. This organization is run by crisis interventionists and can make the decision to transport you to the hospital or provide you with resources that will direct you to the right specialist for your needs.

Exactly. The on call psychiatrist will decide whether or not to issue a form 1, but only if they deem you to be a risk to yourself.
