We had ours done by Marilyn Pilarczyk of Marilyn's Custom Windows here in town and we were so pleased with her service. She did all the window treatments for our house including shades, blinds, draperies and she brings all the samples to your house and helps you choose the fabrics. She also did the California shutters in our townhouse.

She's at 905-878-0626.

how does 'warranty' work with her? If something breaks after 5 weeks, is she going to pretend she doesn't know me?

The thought of having someone come in to figure out what to do is appealing, I'm just a little weary about after sales service with non-organizations.

Hi
I just had blinds installed. I shopped around and I was extremely pleased with www.budgetblinds.ca . Niraj was very professional, always on time and installed the blinds himself. They have the exact same product the HD, Costco and Sears uses at a fraction of the cost. These guys are +++

KC Blinds and Shutters...ask for Kesh. Prices can't be beat, and he uses all the same name brands as every other place and he does a great job.

We used Covers for our last home. We put all our main floor blinds on remotes. On the main floor we had those blinds with holes no one can see in. I loved the remote roller blinds. When I came down stairs in the morning, I pressed the button and the entire back end of the house open up with sun shining in. For that house I layered all our windows with a roller bind behind curtains to frame the window's.

Our current house we have no window treatments. The house sit in a private setting window treatments are not needed. :)

She just came over a few weeks back and fixed the cord on a Hunter Douglas shade that was installed 3 years ago. No hassles and she would not take any money for it even though I tried to insist. She really is terrific.

We used Julia from Decorative Dreams for our new house. She offers many window coverings designs using reputable products which suits your lifetsyle and budget. Julia offers products by Hunter Douglas, Maxxmar, Shade-O-Matic, Eclispe Shutters and a large selection of custom drapery. We are extremely happy with the product and after sale service. You would not go wrong giving her a call for an in home consultation, mention that Dan sent you :)

Costco offers in-home design service on Hunter Douglas and others. As you would expect, you can't beat the price.

Bumping up this topic

Budget Blinds is coming this Saturday to install roller shades on our kitchen patio door and replacing the wood venetian blinds with new ones in one of the bedrooms. The owner, Barry Glenn, came over for an in-home consultation and brought 3 huge binders of different types of window coverings, spent well over 2 hours explaining all the products/colours available and which one would suit us best. We even got an pretty decent discount that is currently being offered even though the patio door is a custom order due to its size (8'W x 7'H).
