Many congratulations to John Pollard for being councillor of ward6. I would like to thank all my supporters, family members, friends and volunteers who supported me during this campaign. I also want to congratulate Alex for being involved in the community and running a very good campaign. We were surprised by the results, but it was a wonderful experience.

We had few differences and some unpleasant moments during campaign and it is normal. Overall, it was a positive campaign in ward 6. I would like to thank Alex for picking up my lawn signs and I have picked yours too Alex. We all knocked on doors and built connection with our neighbours. Let us work together to make ward 6 and Milton a better place.

I will continue to be involved in the community you are most welcome to contact me for any issues or concerns.

It was my pleasure Kashif, and thanks for reciprocating. Yes, a great experience and opportunity to connect with the community indeed. Congratulations on a well run campaign, and I sincerely hope we keep in touch.

For the next election: no more LinkedIn stalking.

Please define LinkedIn stalking. If people don't want to be looked up they should a) not run for public office b) limit their public profile c) not have a LinkedIn account

It's called social networking for a reason.

PS, nice words Kashif and Alex! Enjoyed getting to know you both! No doubt will continue to see you around town!

What I meant was candidates, such as Kashif, finding Ward6 residents on LinkedIn. There is something unsettling about meeting someone on your porch, speaking for less than 20 seconds to receive a brochure, not providing my name within that exchange, and within 24 hrs being found and added on LinkedIn. Kashif seems like a super nice guy, don't get me wrong, but I found it sort of creepy. A quick poll with a few colleagues and they all had similar reactions.

Hi nspace,

We actually exchanged names. As a a voter, you have every right to research the candidate. As a candidate, I also perform research on my voters. We already discussed this matter in private. Didn't we?

Thanks, Kashif! It was great meeting you, and I enjoyed our talks throughout the campaign. You, Alex, and Rubina all did a get job and i'm sure we will see your names on the ballot again in 2018. I'm very honoured by the people of Ward 6 to choose me and excited for the challenge of representing them for the next 4 years. If you guys ever need anything, let me know.

denti: I'm sorry I missed you during my campaign. I kept my signage to a mininimum out of respect for the residents and relied mainly on my door-to-door efforts and social media - though unfortunately I was unable to reach everyone. I'd be happy to connect and learn more about your concerns and opinions regarding the issues facing Ward 6 and Milton. Feel free to contact me anytime.

freemantrailfamily: Sorry I creeped you out, Kim. I promise it wasn't intentional.
