Kayla and I will be there wherever, and whenever we decide to meet for pub night, but I'm thinking maybe a Saturday night in September in Oakville or Mississauga. Or maybe find a new spot in Milton.

Just my two cents (as I said we'll go with the flow).

Jim

Well, we vote for Sept.

We'd love to come, especially since we were the fools that started lining up the longest

But, early/mid September is good, or late October would be ok.

We'll be in Italy from Sept. 26th to Oct. 18th on our Honeymoon!

We live on Marshall Cresent too and hope that we can pick a day that we'll be here for!!

Come on Frank, Mandy & Andy, Tim - you were there the longest with us - I'd be great if us "first day waiters" could be there!

Hope to see you soon!

Laurie & Dave

Hi Lori!

Dave and I felt the same way too - a pub night is a great idea, but only if the original group could make it (or at least the majority of us - at least the ones that post on this site!).

Of course, with everyones schedule, we couldn't get all of the people posting on here, but we should be able to get our first day friends!

Have a blast while you guys are in Italy - I'm sure you, Luis and Isabella will have a fantastic time!!!

We'll talk when you get back and before we go ourselves!! Maybe you can suggest some great sights for us to see!

Take care and have a safe trip!

Laurie

Can't do October 9 weekend... getting married.
Like I said not every one can be pleased with any suggestion. As for the site, why not keep it in Milton. That is the part of the reason we're all getting together, no?

Well we're getting married Sept. 25th, and will still be in Italy on Oct. 9th, so its not good for us either.

How about Sat. Sept. 11th, or Sat. Sept. 18th????

So then it's "Official" now.....

We're all going to get together on Sat. Sept. 11th in Milton for a "reunion" get together from our week in line for our Mattamy home. So whoever can make it out, it would be great to see everyone.

We just need a place to meet now....

Any suggestions??

Laurie & Dave

Is this open to all members of HawthorneVillager.com or just those who were in line?

This is of course open to EVERYONE - it's just a few of us that lined up together for a week wanted to make sure we could all make it out on a convenient night!

:D

Of course everyone would be invited. People from Phase 11, 12 or 13, or anyone else on this forum who would like to come.

It sounds like September 11th has gotten everyone's support. A good time would probably be early-mid afternoon (before the place gets crowded in the evening). Could people who are current Miltonians, or know the area well comment on some possible meeting places?

Trish mentioned Charles Fitz Whiskeys which is in Milton.

I also noticed that late last year there was a "meet & greet" at "The Dickens" in downtown milton (189 Mill Street) put together by people moving in Bristol Park (a different builder in Milton that Greg S. has a forum for on his buildinghomes.ca site). Maybe Greg could comment on that location?

Azim, you live in Milton right? if you are reading this what do you think of these 2 possible locations (or others?).

We could bring some name-tag stickers so we could write our names on & stick them to our shirts to make it easy to know who's who.

I haven't ever been to Charles Fitz Whiskeys, but I spoke with our office manager last week about a suitable place to get together, Fitz Whiskeys was here immediate first choice. She has lived in Milton for many years and says that this is "The" place in town, easy to find right on Hwy. 25. She says that it does get pretty busy at night, so I think that Rick's suggestion of early-mid afternoon is a good one (besides I'll be glued to the T.V. at 6:30 that night for the semi-final of the World Cup of Hockey).

A couple of beers, munchies, and new friends...pretty good afternoon.

Jim

This is the "Charley Fitzwhiskey's Tap & Eatery" at 55 Ontario Street north in Milton right?

4 PM on Saturday, September 11. I'll post something on the main website too.
