Hey guys...
When we went to change the light bulb in our hall the base of the energy-saving bulb that had been in there for over two years was black, melted and warped. The whole thing smelled light electrical fire when we took the fixture apart! We are too scared to put it back together until an electrician looks at it but don't want to be taken advantage of since we don't know what we are doing. We have a home built in the 70s and has aluminum wiring, we had an ESA certificate done when we bought the house 3 years ago and "all" the outlets were pig-tailed to copper... we believe.
Any help would be appreciated!!

"electrician 4 u" (he has an account on here). His name is George, 416 989 9923.

We've used his help multiple times over the years, I'd highly recommend him.

George for President.

Seriously, call George. He helps me out all the time, just this week he added an outlet in my kitchen lickity-split.

Absolutely +++1 for George

I've had the pleasure of dealing with George twice now. The first time was based on some great recommendations on the Villager, so I took a chance. He did an excellent job, so I made sure to keep his number. It's a good thing I did, because this past weekend I had some emergency issues with my panel and George was able to help me out.

George is punctual, efficient, and as others have stated, just a great guy. Funny, yes, but even more importantly (as a new home owner) he talks you through what he's doing. To top it all off, he's honest and fair with his pricing.

Just curious, what was the cost of adding an outlet? I'm thinking of adding one in my unfinished basement,

What ever happen to Bryan White? He was a great electrician here in Milton and now I can't get a hold of him.
