Hey Everyone,
Our long awaited closing day has arrived! We had our PDI yesterday it went relatively ok, there were a few minor things, but nothing too major.
Carpet in the upper hall is missing because...... the carpet layers are on strike.

A lot of people have asked us to take pics of the Wintergrove, so here they are:

Livingroom/Dining Room

Wow! Very nice!
All you need is the stainless in the kitchen and away you go.

Excellent choices!

Cliff

So-o-o, how do they close your house without the carpet?? I thought that was the big thing with Mattamy saying that they can't close without carpet for those people that wanted it left without anything so they could do their own hardwood after closing.

Anyhow, it looks beautiful...congratulations.

wow...talk about positive feedback! Thanks guys. We love how the house turned out.

BVM: Thanks so much, we're so excited. We first saw the hardwood colour at the design centre (in the room with the couch and tv), we knew that was the one we wanted. Mirage Charcoal on Oak.

Matt: Thanks Matt! We're happy to be in the hood with all you guys! Let the good times begin!

Dream: Hey Marc, thanks for the welcome. Tours will be running Monday thru Friday at a cost of $5.00 per adults and $2.50 per child.....haha...no seriously let me know if you guys want to pop by to see the place.

Cliff B: Thanks Cliff, we really happy with our selection choices. Stainless is ordered and on the way, it should all be in after the weekend.

Queen B: Thanks for the compliments, we're really glad with how it all turned out!

Woodclan: Thank! You know, that exact though crossed through my mind as they were telling me about the strike. I don't know how they did it, but they did. They layed down the underpad and the tack strips, its just the carpet in the hallway that is missing. The carpet is already in the bedrooms. Maybe I should just do the hardwood now and use the carpet as a runner in the basement.

Did I get everyone?....lol

Hey bzmommy, thanks for the compliments!
Don't quote me on this as the papers are at home, but I am pretty sure that the tile we used is called "INCEPA JAVA/JANO" It's a dark brown with a hint of blue and grey in it.

I'll find out the name for you and let you know. However, I think that the tile we went with has been discontinued by Mattamy.

Thanks funkkeemunkee! The stain is called charcoal, there are so many shades and it really shows the variation in the grain. We love it.

Well we have our money ready, and it looks like the tour will be worth every penny.

But seriously, enjoy your new home and the neighbourhood and once you are settled in we can think about the tours (or we can call it the neighbourhood BBQ)

omg! your house is insane! it looks so much better than the other Wintergroves i've seen in burlington (e.g. colours, combinations).

i remember that donna invited me over for some wine, so i'm going to have to hold you to that!

i love the hardwood especially, and i think the charcoal colour would only look exceptional in a wintergrove or summerfield because of the angles at which light enters the entire house.

the kitchen looks like it came out of an ikea catalogue...in a good way of course....really beautiful, but better quality (not to knock any ikea lovers, but you know...)
