A lot of people may think this, but unfortunately there is a drawback.. Going and working elsewhere means someone cheaper will come in to do that work, and in order to keep costs low, they may not do as good a job or follow proper practices.
And I don't care how many ads a builder does in the Toronto Star, they are all incredibly cheap and constantly looking for ways to squeeze money out of a project and their trades.
In regular employment, you cannot just fire someone and replace them with someone else who will work for less. This is illegal. You can however fire them and have their work migrated into existing employees job descriptions, but do you really want the plumber also trying to do the roofing?
