Don't stress unless you have to!

These latest batch of delays seemed to be only people with October and November closings... anyone after that was fine.

We found out at Mattamy U that they just started applying for permits 4 weeks ago, so i image thats been part of the many problems.

I don't understand how you can still say the plant is the problem when there are homes built in there, ready to go and yet...it's still a plant problem.

Plus we heard about the various permits that they had to get at Mattamy U, and one of them that they had a hard time getting had to do with CN Rail. Plus they had to front 3 million for the expansion of Derry Road from Tremaine to the tracks before the town would even let them start!

So yeah, get over it. We ALL know you're pissed and obviously have your own opinions on the subject, so how 'bout you refrain from posting it over and over and over again.

Williamb, why do you have such an attitude all the time?
Reading your history of posts, there sure are many sarcastic comments that are rude.
The classic I know best attitude and nobody else knows anything attitude.
Would be interesting to see if you have these types of social skills in real life and not on a chat site.
Do you treat people this way in person?

Hi everyone
Can understand your situation. Talked with Mattamy senior staff last night the the reason for the delays are a combination of supplier, construction and servicing scheduling delay. They hope to have the assembly plant up and operating by the end of July with about one house a day coming out. Saw a picture of their mover it looks like the crawler used to move the space shuttle at Cape Kennedy which should be interesting to see.

I have also requested Mattamy staff to respond on this site to Mattamy related issues as I know they read postings and it would help them and you their customers to improve service and clarify issues.

Will keep it touch on this issue as I am also concerned about delays in the school and road construction in the area as well.

ANYTHING IN THERE REGARDING PERMITS...., and if you read his previous post, ...it aint the towns problem...

We were there last night and noticed a few lots 140, 141.. on Rayner are being built the old fashioned way. They are 36' singles as well. Thought these were being built in the factory. As for 215's neighbour, it looked as if they were ready to drop it on the foundation today.

They can't all be factory built as the machine can't maneuver each completed house into its slot. It totally depends on your lot location whether you'll get a FB home or not.

So, am I right in hearing that now even the townhomes for Phase 1 have been delayed?

I guess it's to be expected really - if all the others are being delayed! Especially since I see no sign of towns being built in the HVE area, and only 4 or so detached homes   :x !

Oh well, I wasn't really counting on a May closing, but it will really BITE if we have to move in the middle of the swealtering, sufficating summer heat! :( .

Guess we'll just have to wait and see.
