We bought a Wood Lily Corner - ElevationC, lot 79 - it's on Etherington Lane. Were you shown a diagram of the driveway setup when you bought? I was only shown last week and am a bit disappointed since I thought I was getting a 2 car driveway -- but really only having space for one car, unless we don't have the sidewalk....I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for the next year or so!

Brad&Kory - I went into the Sales Center last week and had to initial a diagram showing how the driveway/garage set up will be. I had phoned Nick to discuss exactly how it would work, and he just asked me to stop by and take a look at the diagram as they were going to be calling me to come in and do it anyways.....whew, that was quite the run on sentence!

I can see about getting the diagram that I have scanned and post it here.

What is the garage issue on Wood Lily? Is the issue on the Wood Lily corner or Wood Lily?

OK, we took the plunge and changed our plan from a Walnut Elevation B to a Wood Lily Elevation A. My wife and I feel that the floor layout on the Wood Lily is much better than the Walnut. We decided to spend the extra $1000 to get the kitchen and stairs we want than spending approx $1200 to upgrade the Walnut to the alternative kitchen layout only. I know we lost the curb appeal but we gain almost another 100 sqft. You loose some and you win some but overall I think this is a good choice for us. So HELLO to all Wood Lily, here comes another one on Phase 5a lot 85. :D

rrknight - the garage issue is with the both models if you have a staggered garage. I'll try to post a link to the diagram that I have in the next day or so.

Hi Steph19, we went to the sales office last night to change our model to Wood Lily and they made us sign the drive way plan (only having one car space on the driverway because of the stagger garage). So it's also on the regular Wood Lily too.

Congrats and were you given the driveway plan to initial? When did Mattamy release the lot 114?

My husband and I just bought a Wood Lily Corner (elevation B)...Phase 5A, lot #147. I believe our neighbours are lot 68, phase 4A. We are on Merkley Gate.

Anyone else on Merkley Gate? We close April 23, 2009.

Hi everyone
I'm considering buying the Wood Lily :)
Can someone explain to me about the driveway issue? From what I understand and please correct me if I'm wrong, but on the asphalt driveway, there is only one space for a car? I'm confused...should I go to the sales center and ask to see the diagram? Does anyone have a copy?

On both Wood Lily and Wood Lily Corner there is only enough driveway space for one car because it has the staggered garage. Unless you don't have a side walk on you lot, you might have enough space for a second car. It's a gamble.

We've bought the Wood Lily Corner (Lot 101) on the weekend when they have the new release on Clarks & Tompson. Me and my wife were very happy and excited about finally getting our first home :D . Noticed on the site map that there were a church on Clark street. We ask them about the church (any cemetery) and they said "no" without a doubt. They next day, we have find out that the city did approve them to built a cemetry on that church block. We were not happy about it at all and withdrawn our deposite right after. . This might not be a concern to some buyer, but not for me. Just FYI for buyer that bought those Lot on Clark St.

It's very bad feng Shui to live accross or near a cemetery. That's why I stayed with HVE ph 5 instead of switching to the HV ph 16.

I know...but we couldn't find a good lot over at Phase 5, that's why we have decided to go over there. I guess we have to wait for the next phase or look for other builder!

You should check the sales office soon for new availability, I know there were a few people on this forum have switched over from HVE ph 5 to HV 16, not sure what lot size.

Does anyone know if lot 56 on Street AY (Phase 5A) have side walk on which side? Thanks

I think it's too early for anyone to know. However you do have a 50/50 chance. Unlike my lot 85, It's 100% I'll get a side walk because it's on a major street (Scott Boulevard).
