I don't think you'll get a semi for under $300,000, and if you go for a townhouse you'll have lots of stairs and not a very big yard. You might be out of luck there.

actually, if you are buying resale, there are lots of "widelot" townhomes that have the same number of stairs as any 2 storey house AND have fenced yards. we lived in one for 5 years and loved it for our first home. we've since upsized...

here's a link to pics of our old house (when it was for sale) - just click the "Photos" tab:

there are a few of this style on the market right now for under $300,000

good luck!

Our neighbour is currently selling their 6 year old townhouse through the bytheowner site. It's a 3 bedroom townhouse, end unit, fully fenced in back yard and walking distance to Milton's dog park. It's on Stover Crescent if you are interested. However, I know they are asking $309 000 for a 1360 sq foot home. Anything under $300 000 is likely to be smaller I would imagine.

Wow! I can't believe townhomes are selling for $300,000 or more!! Milton really is getting expensive!

Wish them luck from me. Then ask them where they're buying their weed, because they must have been smoking a lot of it when they priced that house.

Bruno

That made me laugh
