Hey everyone,

Hope a big number participated keeping their lights off between 8 and 9...

Big thank you to Symposium as they surprisingly did.

SHAME ON MATTAMY.... ENERGY STAR HOMES, eh?
HOW COME THEY LEFT THEIR PROJECTOR LIGHTS ON ALL AROUND THE "USED TO BE" MODEL HOMES??????????????
THEY ARE ALL GREEN AS LONG AS IT HELPS FILLING THEIR DEEP POCKETS... TURN OFF THESE STUPID PROJECTOR LIGHTS THAT SUCK 100 TIMES MORE THAN REGULAR LAMPS!!!

We participated & still have all the lights off & plenty of candles on :D Kids actually had fun especially spilling the wax from the candles  All our neighbours turned off their lights too so I guess many people took part. We should do this more often, perhaps once a month

I really wanted to..... but with a young baby got harder than I thought to keep the lights off.

I'll withdraw some money from his college fund and buy some carbon offsets instead ;-)

I heard on CP24 during Earth Hour that Toronto Hydro had reported a 7% reduction in consumption (at that point) across the GTA..that was pretty good...It was specially nice to see businesses take part....

the only reason why I wouln't recommend this on a monthly basis is that it would slowly lose its novelty and wouldn't be as important as it is today...but thats just my opinion
