We had a similar problem once but it turned out that when we used to take showers in the tub the water used to spill out on the floor a bit (which is normal) but the toilet seat was next to the tub and mattamy forgot to seal it with caulking at the bottom and water made its way from underneath the seat to our main floor. Bottom line, check if there is water around the seat when you shower.

Dont stress, its not a big deal as long as it is not dripping in your main floor but get it check out asap

You should call Mattamy's HV Community Concierge so that at least someone is aware that there is a problem.

Their number is 905-208-0636. On weekends and holidays, they are available from 9 am-5 pm. On weeknights, they're available from 5 pm-10 pm.

If the floor is caulked then you may want to check the drain (strainer)
it screws into the plumbing and sometimes it works lose or wasnt tightened down enough at the begining if it is a fibreglass it also needs to be caulked under the lip of the strainer.

hope this helps

Sorry to hear about everyone's issues but frankly it comes as no surprise to me and I hope you get them all solved and repaired to your satisfaction.

I've got Mattamy coming back this summer after being in our home over 5 years to do work on top of their existing warranty work and to replace our ceramic kitchen floor!

Next time I would do it all completely different!

Cheers G.

Hope you get the problem fixed okay.

Question: Prior to you guys finding the water mark, did it ever smell damp in the kitchen or in the washroom where the leak is coming from?
