Does anyone know if upon closing Mattamy provides the owner with a copy of the "as-built" architectural drawing of the house?

No they do not provide it. You can order a copy of the plans as registered with the town of Milton. I bought mine, it was 80 bucks. very detailed, has diagrams for trusses and everything.

If you search the forum for blueprints you should find the info in a thread. This is going back almost 3 years now.

Matt

I spoke with Paola Degenarrio and Mike Dickie (submits mattamy drawings to the town for permit). Neither was really of any help as I was told they are copywritten and we can ONLY VIEW them at the Town of Milton.

Upon speaking to some VERY helpful people, mainly a lady by the name of Susan at the town of milton, she informed me that after closing as the owner of the property I am entitled to get a copy of all drawings they have on file for my lot/house/street etc. (as long as they are relevant to my property and subject to administrative cost).

This would include drawings held by both the town's engineering department and Planning & Development department.

Site plans, elevation drawing, "as-built" drawing for my specific lot, this will also include electrical and HVAC drawings aswell.

I recommend to anyone out there thats building a home to retain a copy of these drawing for themselves.

Great information. Thanks so much! We'll be sure to contact the town on closing to get these papers as well.

We usually get the drawings from the builders before the lots are released for sale. I found them beneficial when choosing a lot to avoid pad mount transformers, bell boxes, hydrants, and sidewalks (if you don't want a side walk).
