Hi Install1

The community services staff are aware of the problem and are working on fixing it. The last they heard was before the long weekend so hopefully within the next couple of days. Seems there is a computer issue with it. The nearest one I think is Bristol.

Update: From our director of operations:

***
Good morning .

Unfortunately at this time I must inform that the splash pad located at Coates Neighborhood Park ( 785 Phillbrook Dr ) is out of Order ( has been signed accordingly )

Doesn't look like it will be ready to go for the weekend , we have installed appropriate signs , however we have numerous water play areas in that vicinity . Closest alternative is only a couple of blocks South , and is located @ Bristol District Park.

***
Will keep you posted.

While we are at it, whats up with all the wierd stares I got this weekend when I rolled up with my lawn chair, a cooler full of beer and a habachi grill. People in Milton need to lighten up.

Received an email saying the required part has been ordered and should be replaced soon.

Can't comment on the cooking of food in our parks but I do my steaks medium rare. :)

FYI the splash pad hours were also increased this week due to the heat.

Today and tomorrow they should be running 8am to 10pm (2 extra hours). Normal hours are 9am to 9pm. The hours will likely go back to the regular schedule next week. Nice to know that when it gets very hot the town can bump up the hours at the neighbourhood splash pads.

Well this splash pad is down again. I wonder what it is about this park? Why does it keep breaking down? I just took my son there and only the buckets work some of the time. Can someone please look into this and maybe hire a new repair person. The one you are using now is taking you for a ride. Thanks.

Went to the park by Gardian Angles one night last week to cool off and noticed there are a few fixtures not working properly.

Hi Dave,

Staff will be looking at Guardian Angels this morning. They normally do a spot check of each of the splash pads on a daily basis and will look for the issues you brought up. As for Coates they also mentioned they have continuning issues with the sensors and other equipment with Coates which are very expensive to replace and according to them shouldnt be breaking down but they are looking at it.

The best solution for Coates at this point (and obviously not the preferred choice) is to head down to the big splash pad on Kennedy Circle as the other option. They're doing their best to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Similar to what Mike mentiones, Coates is having ongoing "diaphragm and sensor issues" that are compounded with the computer board not working properly as well. Only the bucket station is working. Staff are hoping to sort it out by weeks end or see what possible options may be. They are taking it seriously but there doesn't seem to be a fast repair process for these systems when they break down.
