Here are the pics for our lot 48

What I don't understand that it is a even surface how the will make walk out bassement.

2) Is this post which says 48 that is where our lot start from. if it is chances are there wont be any one directly behind our building at least
most of the building will be behind the wood.

Does the lot size start from the sidewalk or from the road curb?

I am pretty sure that it starts from the sidewalk because the city owns the land from the sidewalk to the road. This is why they can put fire hydrants and signs where ever they want to in this space. After visiting the site, I think that there is going to be plenty of room in the back yards. I was even a little surprised how far back from the road the homes are. Much different than the Mattamy "Widelot" which is code for put the house almost on top of the street, make the lot 85' deep and than stretch the lot out 3 feet wider.

Hi Jdub

The answer is neither the sidewalk or curb, but the shutoff valve of your water supply which you can see on your survey from the builder or in the Engineering Department at the Town Hall on Mary St. where staff can show you the details of the utilities, fire hydrants, hydro vaults, super mail boxes and other features located in the road allowance in front of your new house.

Was at the property again yesterday. Progress continues. They are alsmot complete with basement walls for all lots from 1 - 9
Also lots 1 and 2 have had the earth back filled in as well and what seems to be the initial lay of aggregate for the driveway as well. For these lots it looks like its primarily wood work from now in.
On the west side of Savoline the lots looke like they have been all dug up and the foundation lay has begun as well. will keep you folks posted.
thanks

Before I could purchase the house, I confirmed with Marietta, and she told me that the plot begins from the side walk. She also told me that the minimum for the driveway was 25' and minimum for the backyard was 25'. Based on the depth of my home and given the 100' deep lots, this does make sense. I suppose this goes to justify that the criterion that "Intracorp" follows is not the same as Mattamy.

I believe that By-law is 6 metres in Milton for minimum backyard depth. Mattamy, Intracorp, etc all must abide by this. I also believe that there is a minimum setback of 3 metres from your front porch to the property line which all builders must abide with. So yes, if you have a 100' deep lot, you will likely end up with a longer backyard, provided that your house is not much deeper/longer than the Mattamy widelots. (yes, I believe the 36' widelots are BS....). I have a widelot and my backyard is 27' deep, which is NOTHING to boast about. So hopefully your backyard will be deeper than the minimum 25 feet she told you....
If your house is on a 40' -43' lot, it will likely be more than 50' deep unless it is under 2200 sq ft. You can probably figure it out from your plan. Most builders will stick to the front lot setback and give you the extra depth in the BY. Good luck!
