Hello all,
Just sharing a message from Milton Says No. Please see below
Tomorrow is an important day. As part of the requirement of the environmental assessment, CN is required to hold an info session for the public. This is taking place TOMORROW, July 16.
We--Milton Says No--will be there to protest and to count attendees to be sure the environmental assessment agency knows that we care as a community. This is not a traditional protest but one where you simply need to stop by, we will be there all afternoon and evening, we will have a letter of opposition for you to initial and bring in to CN at their open house.
Every single person matters and will be counted so please, just stop by even if just for a minute or two to show your opposition to the CN intermodal terminal. Mayor Krantz will be in attendance, as will our town council, and Regional Chair Gary Carr is expected. Media may also be present.
There are TWO sessions, afternoon OR evening. Just try to stop in for one, you don't have to stay long, we realize everyone is busy in the summer! We will also have our petition there for signing if you haven't signed it already. This hard copy petition is headed for the House of Commons from our entire town and region.
TOMORROW (Thursday, July 16)
1 to 4pm OR 6 to 8pm
AT the Best Western Hotel, 161 Chisholm Drive, Milton
See you there and thank you for your community spirit and for your support. We are all doing this together Milton.
