Yes all places do have not so nice places but Cambridge and Kitchener actually has people begging for money everyday! A lot of them. I do feel the area will get cleaned up as the Cities grows but there is a alarming amount of pan handlers asking for money. Commonly seen at traffic lights, local malls, outside of Chapters, dollarama...
I have yet to see panhandlers in that area at all... Mind you there is only 1 I can think of in Milton area either
Milton only has that one guy who hangs out at harvey's I don't consider him a panhandler as I do not believe he begs for money. If he does he is not aggressive in his begging. The people in Milton know him and they take care of him. He is a kind man who chooses to live on the street for some reason. He does not bother people

Your post sounds pretty naive since Dollarama is not the kind of place an intelligent panhandler would hang around
Naive? Intelligent panhandler?? What ever buddy!

Take a trip to The Cambridge or Kitchener Mall and pay attention to the people who use the mall. It is not a mall that you want to leave you teen child shopping at. Waterloo on the other hand has a very nice Mall similar to Maple View in Burlington. It's nice clean, no one begging for money when you enter or exit the mall.

BS on Cambridge mall
Really do you live in KW, how often do you go to these malls? Last time I was at the Cambridge mall some sketchy guy was walking around the food court with a security guy following him. Next time you go to the mall look around you, tell me what you see. Tell me if it's a mall you want your teen child shopping at. I live here I know, when my teen child wants to go shopping with girlfriends I drive them the extra distance to the Waterloo Mall.

Kitchener (Fairview) I would be more worried about drugs, hookers & robbery than I would about panhandling (those cheap apts are like skid row)
Kitchener mall also has very sketch people in it, and that old lady bum with the fake hunch back and cane who begs for money in the parking lot. She never goes in the mall.
Please move to KW region live here a few months then tell me what you see. I have been living here since November and this is what I have noticed. Someone is asking for views so I am posting my views.
Mr. Peppermint If you frequent Cambridge watch the center island when you drive past Water Street/Hespler road intersection. Drive with your eyes open, you will be surprised what you see in Cambridge! Shop with your eyes open, and once again you will be surprised.
Will you make money on your home here in Kitchener, I truly believe you will. Will Kitchener/Cambridge clean up their streets I really hope they do cause I pay a lot of taxes for a subdivision home, I would think some of these taxes would go toward policing. The area that we chose to live in has very high taxes and our community comes with lots of rules and regulations, I did not expect to see panhandlers.
